What the heck is RCA Comics, the FAQ!
Q: What is RCAC?
A: Well, I wanted to have a main site to put all of my comic series up. I wasn't sure
what to call it, so I went with Rock Candy Asylum.

Q: What does that mean, anyway?
A: It was 3 am and I was finishing off $20 worth of rock candy. =D

Q: Your main comic and home site have the same name. Why?
A: Why not?

Q: Seriously. Why?
A: RCA was the choice I made for my home site. I chose to name the comic that,
as well, because it's my main comic & the characters are basically mascots for
the place.

Q: Okay. So RCA, the comic, is about complete & utter nonsense. What's with
Alternate Reality?
A: Alternate Reality was based on a game started on my role playing site, RPU. It
was called "OC Mayhem". It's really one of those newspaper-style comics.

Q: And Katarizo?
A: Katarizo is probably my favorite comic concept, as far as my own go. There's
a store in our area called "Katartizo", and that sounded like a cool name..I kind of
went from there. After some thought & scribbles, I came up with..Atlantis + furries!
Vincent Katarizo is the star, and he's a fairly well-known thief in his area of the
lost city. For more info, visit the actual "
about" page.

Q: Didn't you mention a couple of other comics in the works?
A: Yes, I did. One of them is the cliché theme of...cats. Well, they're based on my
own cats..even down to the names. The plot in this one is..well..they want to kill
us. Yeah. Not exactly original. The other one is a more serious one, and more of
a fan-comic that I'm debating putting up here. It's about Crash Bandicoot, about
15 years into the future, where Nina is the new bad guy-er..girl. The first is TBA,
but Ricochet Crash has nearly the entire prologue scripted, and a couple of
sketches done. (though it will only be a short series, not an ongoing one)

Q: Okay. What the heck are those things on the banners?
A: The one on the blues banners is Ninja Fox. The one on the green banners is
Pooky. Pooky is a giant, mutated pizza roll. It's....best not to ask.

Q: What about the girl on the main page?
A: That would be the half-dragon, Hyperdrive.

Q: Do you take requests?
A: Yes, but don't expect them to be done quickly, unless it's urgent.

Q: Can I use your art for avatars/signatures/etc.?
A: Unless I specifically mark it as stock, avatars & signatures only, please. I've
had too many people steal my images for their website, without asking and/or
crediting me.

Q: What about something personal?
A: I pity the fool who would actually want to, but sure. Knock yourself out.

Q: Going back to the comics, now. Are the characters in RCA actual people?
A: No. They were based on & named after real people, and share quite a bit of
the same personalities, but they are not the actual people nor their fursonas.
Simply a comic representation.

Q: What about Alternate Reality?
A: The characters in AR are all my own, with friend's characters making cameos
every now & then.

Q: And Katarizo?
A: The characters in Katarizo were made specifically for the comic, and won't
show in anything else, unless it's a cameo for humor's sake.

Q: The ideas in a couple of your comics seem eerily similar to mine/a movie/tv
show/friend's fan-fiction. Did you copy it?
A: Absolutely not. If there are any similarities between my comics and something
else, it's purely coincidental. Believe me..it's happened more than once.

Q: You say you hate Anime, yet you draw it. Why?
A: My style is NOT full-blown Anime. It's Animerican, if anything. I grew up on
Pokemon & Totoro, and that was a heavy influence on my style that just kind
of....stuck. I started drawing humanoid creatures when I got into Teen Titans, and
a little bit of that style rubbed off on me. Over time, I developed my own kind of art
style, but you can most likely see what all has inspired me.

Q: How do you feel about my character paired with one of yours?
A: If you can build an actual relationship, and not base it off some crush YOU
have, go right on ahead. Chances are, though, it won't be official.

Q: Will you put my character in one of your comics?
A: Sure, I'm all about cameos! So long as you don't pester me on how to portray
that character, I might just make 'em a regular. :3

Q: How old are you? =3
A: You're only as old as you feel; and I feel 12. =D

Q: Just how many characters are going to appear in AR?
A: Quite a few. I'm nowhere near finished adding the cast, but it's estimated to be
around 25-30, not including cameos & guest appearances.

Q: When did Raptor get glasses?
A: DO NOT DEFY THE GLASSES.

Q: By the looks of it, Katarizo is shaping out to be your main comic. Is it?
A: I'm starting to think it is. It's by far my favorite plot & comic to work on, but the
cast of RCA will always be the site's main characters.

Q: Are you ever going to start a store?
A: I hope so! I need some serious equipment, but the shirt & plushie prototypes
I've made seemed to go over pretty good. Don't hold your breath, though.

Q: Do you do commissions? :3
A: Only if your character is used in the comic. I refuse to do art commissions,
however, as I don't really believe in paying somebody $50 to draw a shiny
picture. These days, people need to keep that money. T-shirts and plushies,
though..sure. I'll do that.
