What the heck is RCA Comics, the FAQ!
Q: What is RCAC?
A: Well, I wanted to have a main site to put all of my comic series up. I wasn't sure
what to call it, so I went with Rock Candy Asylum.

Q: What does that mean, anyway?
A: It was 3 am and I was finishing off $20 worth of rock candy. =D

Q: Your main comic and home site have the same name. Why?
A: Why not?

Q: Seriously. Why?
A: RCA was the choice I made for my home site. I chose to name the comic that,
as well, because it's my main comic & the characters are basically mascots for
the place.

Q: Okay. So RCA, the comic, is about complete & utter nonsense. What's with
Alternate Reality?
A: Alternate Reality was based on a game started on my role playing site, RPU. It
was called "OC Mayhem". It's, more or less, one of those gag-a-day
comics..even though it won't actually be updated, daily.

Q: And Katarizo?
A: Katarizo is probably my favorite comic concept, as far as my own go. There's
a store in our area called "Katartizo", and that sounded like a cool name..I kind of
went from there. After some thought & scribbles, I came up with..Atlantis +
fuzzies! Vincent Katarizo is the star, and he's a fairly well-known thief in his area
of the lost city. For more info, visit the actual "
about" page.

Q: Whoah now! A new comic? What's this?
A: A World Apart was a side-project I had, a few years ago. I decided to try my
hand, at a new comic, that I hopefully won't get bored with. As with everything
else, it will have no set update schedule. Go check the "About" page, for info on
the story.

Q: Didn't you mention a couple of other comics in the works?
A: Yes, I did. After some concepts, and much thought, I did scrap a couple of
ideas. One of them, which I intend to start soon, is a fancomic about Crash
Bandicoot. It will not be posted on RCAC, due to copyright reasons..but I will be
putting it up, on my
Deviant Art page.

Q: Who all is going to appear, in AWA?
A: A lot of people. Way more than I'm used to. There are only three characters,
that the comic focuses on, but a large majority of the rest, will be borrowed
characters.

Q: Why didn't you ever continue the writted story, "A World Apart"?
A: Because the more I wrote, the more I strayed from the main story, and it got
very confusing. It became less about a pirate, in modern times, and more about
an alien invasion. What?

Q: Can I donate a character, after AWA has already started?
A: Yes and no. I will have all I need, for a while. When I start a new arc, in a new
location, I'll probably ask for cameos, again.

Q: You seem to be pretty insistent that your characters are anthros, not furries.
What's your deal, with that?
A: "Anthropomorphic" means to give an animal, or inanimate object, human
features. "Furry" generally refers to people who obsess over anthros, not the
anthros, themselves. "Weres" are not "real anthros". They just fall into a more
primal category.

Q: Okay. What the heck are those creature things?
A: That would be Pooky, the pizza demon, and Ninja-Fox.

Q: Do you take requests?
A: C
urrently, no. I have too much stress going on, at the moment.

Q: Can I use your art for avatars/signatures/etc.?
A: Unless I specifically mark it as stock, avatars & signatures only, please. I've
had too many people steal my images for their website, without asking and/or
crediting me.

Q: What about something personal?
A: I pity the fool who would actually want to, but sure. Knock yourself out.

Q: Going back to the comics, now. Are the characters in RCA actual people?
A: Yes & no. They were based on & named after real people, and share fairly
similar personalities, but they are not the actual people nor their fursonas.
When
it first started out, they were just characters made, to act out things that really
happened. As the years went by, there was some misunderstanding that these
characters were fursonas, and it eventually turned out that way. I didn't mean to
make you guys Furries! REALLY!

Q: What about Alternate Reality?
A: The majority of characters are my own. There are a couple of my friends'
characters, like Scout
, Enigma, and Twitchy, at the moment..& I hope to add
more, over time.

Q: And Katarizo?
A: The characters in Katarizo were made specifically for the comic, and won't
show in anything else, unless it's a cameo for humor's sake.

Q: The ideas in a couple of your comics seem eerily similar to mine/a movie/tv
show/friend's fan-fiction. Did you copy it?
A: Absolutely not. If there are any similarities between my comics and something
else, it's purely coincidental. Believe me..it's happened more than once.

Q: You say you hate Anime, yet you draw it. Why?
A: My style isn't Anime/Manga. Try comparing one of my pictures, to an actual
Anime. The difference is
huge. I grew up with Totoro and Pokemon, so I won't
outright deny that things like that did have an influence, on me, and there are
small similarities, but it's not full-blown Anime.

Q: How do you feel about my character paired with one of yours?
A: You can ship all you want. It doesn't mean the pairing will be cannon, however.

Q: Will you put my character in one of your comics?
A: Sure, I'm all about cameos! So long as you don't pester me on how to portray
that character, I might just make 'em a regular. :3

Q: How old are you? =3
A: You're only as old as you feel; and I feel 12. =D

Q: Just how many characters are going to appear in AR?
A: Quite a few. I'm nowhere near finished adding the cast, but it's estimated to be
around 25-30, not including cameos & guest appearances.

Q: When did Raptor get glasses?
A: DO NOT DEFY THE GLASSES.

Q: By the looks of it, Katarizo is shaping out to be your main comic. Is it?
A: N
o. I have halted Katarizo, for the most part. It will still continue, periodically,
but it will never replace RCA.

Q: Are you ever going to start a store?
A: I hope so! I need some serious equipment, but the shirt & plushie prototypes
I've made seemed to go over pretty good. Don't hold your breath, though.

Q: Do you do commissions? :3
A: Well...I'm not fond of the idea, no. However, because I seriously don't have
much time on my hands, for requests, anymore...I'm more than willing to start on
commissions. However, I'd like to get some more practice, first..to make sure my
art is at its best. Even then, I won't charge much. (unless it requires an insane
amount of detailing, it's animated, or it's 3D...but the latter of which isn't likely to
happen, for a couple years)
